Taylor was introduced to music through the violin during her elementary years in Waldorf-- a schooling based on the curriculum and methodology of Rudolf Steiner, who believed music to be an essential part of a child’s academic growth. Her musicality flourished through the anthroposophical approach, incorporating string instruments which are believed by Steiner to hold the strongest connection to the human heart, voice and emotional realm.

Taylor’s love for the violin soon revealed her passion for singing which led her to pursue both violin and vocal studies as well as choral and orchestral ensembles all through her schooling years.

         Teaching Background

In 2018 Taylor moved to Copenhagen to pursue a Master’s degree in vocal performance and vocal pedagogy. Upon graduating The Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2020, Taylor went on to teach privately alongside her freelance performing work in the Greater Copenhagen area and later in Florence, Italy.

Along her own life journey through personal growth and healing, Taylor has come to a deeper understanding of the inter-connectedness of mind, body and spirit and the integral role that all three play in musical development.

From this understanding her passion for teaching has deepened, bringing her own experience into approaching the development of each student as an innate unfolding of a unique, full, natural somatic expression. Taylor explores with each student to find their own unique technique codes that will help to unfold their innate voice, sound and musical expression. Her own development and journey has grown her belief that “we sing/play not only with our full body, but with our whole life experience”.

After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in vocal music Education from Concordia College of Moorhead, MN, Taylor discovered her gift for teaching while taking her first position teaching private voice and violin at Virtuosos Music Academy in Plymouth, Minnesota in 2012. In 2014 she opened her own private studio teaching out of student’s homes in the Greater Twin Cities area in Minnesota. Through the fine nuances of teaching little ones the intricacies of the violin through vibration, intonation and precision, Taylor found such a profound connection to her own vocal development and a beautiful correlation between the vibrating chords of the human voice and the strings of the violin.

                     Testimonials

"Taylor is the first singing teacher who managed to realize my potential and bring me on a whole new orbit of singing.

I am a singer-songwriter based in Denmark and after practicing with Taylor in my late 20s, people now approach me after the performances and offer collaborations.

I am so much more free, flexible and agile in my vocals and I am now able to realize much more advanced song concepts. People see my performances as soulful and jazzy.

Taylor is a wonderfully kind, supporting, yet honest and constructive teacher. Her holistic approach helps educate you about the bodywork of singing, as well as the techniques of bringing out your true voice to the world.

I am so happy that I met Taylor through my network.

Taylor is a skilled and attentive teacher and even lessons online have been working amazingly."
